       Ripping Directions

Palette Used:
DoR Tileset Main Palette, CSets 7, 8, 10, 11
(it varies per tile, so experiment with CSets...or just use 8-bit mode and leech the tiles)

Animation:
None

How to Use:

First of all, see the three files that have "example" in their file name?...Well, you can skip 'em. You're going to want to rip from one of the other three files. The ones marked "recommended" show the rupees in their most common Zelda denominations, as seen in most of the modern Zelda games (with a few exceptions -- colors are different in TP, for instance, but in any case I recommend the colors shown).

Secondly, there are three types for you to choose from: "normal," which is a simple version based on the original sprites, "shiny," which has diagonal "glints" that I drew in, and "pearly," another edit I created which has added Minish Cap-style reflections. Take a look and see which you prefer.
(NOTE: I do NOT recommend using more than one of these rupee types in the same quest. They aren't really made to look good together. Just pick one of the three types.)

The following files are all rippable images:
ST Rupees - recommended (normal).gif
ST Rupees - recommended (shiny).gif
ST Rupees - recommended (pearly).gif

Each file shows my recommended rupee color for each standard denomination (1, 5, 10, 20, 50, and 100). The file does NOT require 8-bit mode, but there's nothing wrong with leeching it directly into 8-bit tiles. Doing so may make it easier to keep track of the denominations when you assign the tiles as sprites.

However, if you're looking to save a little tile space and assign the CSets yourself, try using the "Grab" feature and rip from the image "ST Rupees - additional tiles.gif". This will give you all the tiles you need. Just assign the CSets yourself, and delete the ones you don't end up using. Note that for each color/style combination, I've included a "light" version and a "dark" version. "Light" is the default coloring -- I'll leave it up to you to decide whether you want to use "dark" coloring for any of the CSets.
